CARDINAL STAR – the official Maine Coon cattery from Estonia, registered with the ZOOKESKUS CATO club, which is part of the World Cat Federation (WCF).

We focus on responsible breeding of purebred Maine Coons. Our goal is not only to preserve and enhance breed qualities but also to ensure that each animal enjoys good health, well-being, and a loving home.
Our cattery features magnificent, impressively sized breeding cats with excellent pedigrees, passing on the best breed traits to their offspring: robust health, striking appearance, and a balanced temperament.

All our cats are kept in a home environment, in constant contact with humans and other animals, which ensures excellent socialization and a stable psyche. We pay great attention to their care so that they grow up happy, confident, and harmoniously developed.

We follow a balanced feeding approach: cats always have access to fresh water and dry food, and twice a day—morning and evening—they receive fresh meat mixes (chicken fillet, necks, gizzards, hearts, and pork heart).
Kittens from Cardinal Star are usually placed in families as beloved pets. Only in rare cases do we consider selling animals for breeding purposes, and then exclusively to responsible, small-scale catteries.

The Maine Coon is one of the oldest and largest domestic cat breeds, originating in the USA. These remarkable animals are known for their impressive size, thick fur, and friendly nature. The Maine Coon is considered one of the oldest natural cat breeds, with origins linked to the northeastern United States, where long-haired cats naturally adapted to harsh climates.

The breed takes its name from the state of Maine, where, according to one theory, it appeared as a result of crossbreeding local cats with long-haired European cats. Another popular theory suggests that Maine Coons descended from cats brought to America by the Vikings. These cats are well adapted to cold environments thanks to their dense, water-resistant coats and strong, muscular bodies.

Maine Coons have an incredibly friendly and sociable personality. They are often called “dogs in a cat’s body” because they easily get along with people, children, and even other animals. They love attention and often follow their owners around the house.

These cats are intelligent and quick learners, making them easy to train. Additionally, Maine Coons are truly stunning, with large ears, bushy tails, and expressive eyes. Their personality and appearance make them ideal pets for anyone seeking a smart, affectionate, and beautiful companion.

  • I was looking for a kitten exactly like this — black or dark smoke, but definitely not gray, and with a “grumpy” expression. I couldn’t find one like that in Lithuania, despite searching for several months.
When I was almost about to give up hope, I decided to look in Estonia and Latvia. I didn’t know which cattery could be trusted, so I asked ChatGPT, and it recommended yours — a reliable, reputable cattery with excellent reviews.
I found another option in Latvia, but the kittens there didn’t appeal to me at all the way yours did.
